B & B Accommodation

Kingfisher boutique accommodation is a sanctuary suitable for one to two people, with a cot available on request. The bedroom consists of a double bed, with ensuite. Linen is provided. Wake up to the sound of bellbird as you indulge in a breakfast of freshly baked homemade bread, farm-made jams, Birchermuesli, fresh seasonal fruit, tea or freshly brewed coffee from your own coffee machine. Fresh eggs from the free-range chickens are available.

The apartment is easily accessible, with no steps. The living space has a comfortable sofa, where you can sit back and take in the picturesque view past pohutakawa, beech and cabbage tree. From the kitchenette, with complementary tea and coffee, you can take in the view across the farm, up past the kanuka, to the top of Harbour Cone.

Enjoy alfresco dining, in your own private cottage garden, walled with local basalt rock, or take a short stroll down to the inlet at the gate to watch white faced heron, paradise duck, pukeko, native wood pigeon, and of course New Zealand’s unique kingfisher.

“We came for one and stayed for two nights. A very enjoyable visit, lovely home and people. Breakfast was wonderful and scenery breathtaking. You will be in our memories, fondly.” David and Mary – Nova Scotia, Canada
